Our Story

The Heart Behind PDR English

Puerta Del Rey is a vibrant, Spirit-filled church in Isabela, Puerto Rico. The vision for the English Service was born in the heart of Pastors William Tavarez and Danissa Vega, with a desire to reach the growing English-speaking community in Isabela and the surrounding towns.

Pastor Pierre Laguerre has been serving at Puerta Del Rey since 2017, arriving just before Hurricanes Irma and Maria impacted Puerto Rico. Since then, PDR English has become a place where English-speaking believers — whether local, stateside, or watching online — can encounter God's Word in a powerful, practical way. Our mission is simple: help people grow in faith, discover their identity in Christ, and live with purpose.
